School emergency preparedness must meet CA State standards, be cost
effective, accessible, easy to use, renewable, and help staff provide a wide
range of student care during possible emergencies.
EVERY SCHOOL SHOULD HAVE:
For every classroom:

Classroom lockdown kit

Toilet kit and supplies

Privacy curtain/solar blanket

OSHA/ANSI approved first aid kit and a detailed first aid/CPR guide

Whole class shelter for longer evacuation during inclement weather

1 day water hydration per person w/5 year shelf life

Emergency food with 5 year shelf life

Infectious disease suppression supplies including N95 masks, nitrile
gloves and sanitary wipes

Ponchos for rainy day evacuations
